Nicholas Drive
The kitchen project on Nicholas Drive involved a remodel of a kitchen that had never been upgraded.  It still had the original cook top range and oven, pine wood cabinets, light brown tile, linoleum flooring and minimal overhead lighting.

We gutted the kitchen to the rafters in order to upgrade the electrical, re-size a window, add can lights and a new wood floor.  Maple cabinets in a Shaker style were installed along with undercabinet lighting.  Overhead recessed lighting completed the lighting for the room.

Granite tiles were used for the countertop in an effort to save on costs.  The countertop was extended along the wall facing out to increase the amount of work space for food preparation.  What was once a breakfast nook area now had a pantry and extended countertop along with a lazy susan cabinet for the corner.  The oven was removed and replaced by more cabinets and a slide-in range replaced the original cook top range.

The wood floors in the entire house were refinished to match up the wood floors that added in the kitchen.  Also, the former linoleum reached to the dining room area and it was replaced with the new oak floor as well.  Once the clear coat had dried, you could not tell the difference between the original 1952 oak floor and the one just installed.
